Women could be the intellect partners of men, even if they couldn�t be professional partners. From 1969 to 1971, the federal government conducted “Project Surname” a program to assign second names to Inuit people in the Northwest Territories who traditionally did not have surnames. I appreciate the patience and kind words of visitors as I construct this site. While women still constituted a small number of the professional population, they were slowly increasing their participation in more significant occupations, including law, social work, engineering, and medicine.

Power outages are catastrophic when they’re lengthy or widespread — some of the largest blackouts of the 20th century affected millions of people and cost millions of dollars to restore. They were able to stay in power with New Democratic support, but in May 1974 Trudeau's government fell. In retrospect, although the system of formula preparation was unnecessarily complex, the formulas prepared by the Walker-Gordon Laboratories were made with care, were unlikely to be seriously contaminated with pathogens and were therefore generally more satisfactory than formulas made in the home.
